Consignment Program

The LCBO Consignment Program refers strictly to the payment terms between the the LCBO and the winery. The  consignment program is a for wine agents to import specialty premium wines through the LCBO warehousing system. These wines never appear in the stores and are sold by case lots only by the agents to their customers. Many of these wines are sold to restaurants  but they are also available  to consumers to purchase and enjoy.

Private Order Program

The LCBO Private Order program allows customers to place orders for wine currently not available in Ontario.  The customer can contact the agent for a winery and order wine by the case subject to the availablility of the wine from the winery.  The LCBO requires a 25% deposit of the estimated retail price.  It may take between 12 and 20 weeks for the wine to arrive. You will be contacted when it arrives.  If the wine is for personal use, you may sign a waiver form so that the wine does not have to go through the LCBO laboratory process.

Pricing

All wine purchased in Ontario, are purchased from the LCBO. When you purchase wine through an agent, a service charge will be added to the price of the wine by the agent.
